Government should lift age for Magistrates and lift the retirement age

By Henri Pearson, 25th March 2020

As the population life span grows longer, more people are living older the government should lift both the retirement age and allow people to work as magistrates beyond 75, this not only effects people's mental health as it makes the feel older, it makes it difficult for those in there 60's and 70's even 80's to do part-time roles like the magistrate that keep them active and part of communities.

The retirement age is 60's this should be lifted voluntary to 75, preventing organisations from retiring their employee's early. Magistrates should be increased to 80 as people in their 80's don't forget their life in youth, it also keeps them busy and valued by communities.
